Carron off-sales refused to sell to under 18s
Off-licences in Carron passed a police test by not serving alcohol to under-agers.
The community police test purchase operation was carried out by local bobbies yesterday (Tuesday, December 13) in Carron, as well as Airth and Carronshore.
The Operation involved plain clothed officers attending the premises with a person under the age of 18 who attempted to buy alcohol.
Staff at all premises refused the sale of alcohol and requested proof of age.
A local community officer said: “The sale of alcohol to persons under the age of 18 is a serious offence and we take a zero tolerance approach to it.
“May we please reiterate that a person who buys alcohol for a person under the age of 18 is guilty of an offence, as is the person requesting that alcohol purchase."
